Le Golf National Albatros course is recognized as one of the best championship courses in Europe, having receive high praises from pros and amateurs alike.
Designed by architects Hubert Chesneau and Robert Von Hagge, in collaboration with Pierre Thevenin, it is located in Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines, southwest of central Paris. Debuting in 1990, Albatros has been the hosting venue for the French Open since 1991 - the oldest national open in continental Europe.
Slick greens, vast undulating fairways with innumerable links-style bunkers require golfers to use every club in the bag. The spectacular final 4 holes are surrounded by water hazards, making the Albatros one of the finest golf courses in Europe. Check out the course flyby:
